COVID-19

Updated: May 11, 2021

We are in the middle of a pandemic and everyone is clearly confused about the extent of this disease and who is really safe.

There are many political views which are not allowing messages from the scientist and medical professionals get to the public as a result, many are not taking the mitigation precautions seriously.

Clearly many positive people with the COVID-19 infection are asymptomatic. However the risk of an asymptomatic person spreading it is very real. I have seen elderly patients in the hospital who have gotten the disease from family members who were asymptomatic.

It is prudent to recommend that everyone should continue strict hand washing techniques and most importantly wear masks when in the public to protect other people who might be more vulnerable and who could potentially develop a fatal outcome from the disease.
